"Stand tall, it gets a little better, see the water we can break down together."

This blog post is dedicated to Christina Haselerhansen and her family, because my first experiences with hardcore surf was in Hawaii with them. <3

The waves have been really wild the last 2 days. It is so amazing looking at it. It's hard to believe it's the same sea that was just green and calm days before.

Last night my family and I went to some festival for some kind of thing, that looks like a nut, but it isn't a nut. I can't remember the name of it in Italian or English though. It was a really enjoyable night. We just walked around, and looked at stuff. Then it started raining so we went to some friend's house and we had a fancy Italian dinner there. It was all really nice. :)

Me and a cute little boy, who just happened to be in the picture.
These are the things that look like nuts, but aren't really nuts. Let me know if you know what they are. ;)
Chilling underneath a few buildings or something.
This is how closely together the buildings are built. I love it!!!

My first earthquake

In Minnesota schools get snow days, here in Italy they get earthquake days.

There was a 5.3 earthquake this morning. I know that's not huge, but it was exciting for me experiencing that for the first time. I was sleeping when I first felt it, then I woke up wondering if it was morning, and feeling myself shaking, I looked around. I realized it must be an earthquake, but I didn't know what to do. I had never been in one before, so I was just kinda like "ohh my goodness!! D:" then I went back to sleep happily thinking that if I died, I'd die doing what I love.. sleeping.. :)

I went to school this morning, and we didn't have class the first 2 hours, because they had us stay outside, incase of danger. Then they decided it was safe and let us back in, we had school for the rest of the day and now here I am at home, and no more signs of any earthquakes! :)

Photos and a little writing.

Elisa and me! <3

Me in Old Belvedere! It's so unique it's very pretty!

Hand prints from New Zealand and Minnesota!

My beautiful beach!

Me on some cool rock things on my beach! :)

There's another exchange student, Jacqui, in a nearby town. She came and spent the night last night, and we walked around Old Belvedere. She's an amazing girl, she is giving me hope for the rest of my year that my Italian will improve, and that it will get to be an even more amazing year. I'm having so much fun over here, sure of course there's times when it's hard, but I love it. I am blessed with an amazing town, family, and I've met some really kind people. I've also gained a good 5 pounds, so I guess the food is a complete success. I am very blessed.

This is of Jacqui and me in Old Belvedere. :)

Some of the many art things that are all throughout the old town! :)

These are two pictures taken awhile ago that I really like. :) This one is of me at the entrance to the castle looking out over the city.

And this one is of my city I took this from a little area that reaches out into the sea a little ways. :)

I love one-on-one talks with my host sister Elisa. :) She is so much fun. I am so lucky to have her. I also love my host sister Silvia, she is the sweetest girl ever. :)

I hate school. It is so boring. I get tired and I get headaches all the time from it because I can't understand when the teachers speak so fast. I understand almost all of my physics class, but I've had physics before, so I think that might be why. I don't mind my Italian class, because I love my teacher for it. She is so kind. :) On the plus side I think I will be way more appreciative of Oklee when I come back because I understand the language completely.

It's so hot out today. I'm not complaining though because I love the heat. I'm thinking about going for a walk later if I can get up the motivation to do it.

Growing up.

I've been meaning to switch blogs for a long time, I didn't like my other one because it says "the third kid" and honestly, I'm not a kid anymore sadly. Soooo, I figured it was time for a change. I started switching stuff 8 months ago, but I finally just got it done. Here's my first post on my new blog.

Welcome everyone!!! :) If you feel like following my blog, go ahead. I'm going to try to post more than I use to on this blog, since I am in Italy and I thinkkkk people maybe wanna hear about what's going on over here and stuff. I guess I shouldn't be to sure about that either, because who knows really.. haha :)
